In partnership with Thrive in Helena, Arkansas Soul, and the Second Serving Foundation, the Arkansas Cinema Society offers a Youth Filmmaking Lab focused on screenwriting.
Join us and learn to take your passion for writing to the big screen! This week-long screenwriting workshop will provide an opportunity for high school students between the ages of 15 and 19 to learn the fundamentals of writing for film. Nolan Dean, Delta-based director and screenwriter, will guide participants as they build a script for a short film and learn about genre, the three-part structure, and captivating your audience utilizing the power of show don’t tell.
