John Wildman is known for his work as a film and film festival publicist, consultant, filmmaker, and journalist/critic. Currently, Wildman is the publicist and consultant for independent films, and several national regional film festivals, including; Dances With Films LA & NY, USA Film Festival, Naples International Film Festival, Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, Filmland, Florida Film Festival, Waco Independent Film Festival, Billy the Kid FF, Indie Meme, and the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles.

He is also the founder and editor-in-chief of FilmsGoneWild.com, and is the co-host of the Fog of Truth Documentary Film podcast. He directed the critically acclaimed grindhouse art-horror thriller THE LADIES OF THE HOUSE, and the award-winning comedy short, SWEAT OF HIS COW, among others. Wildman was formerly the Director of Press and PR for the American Film Institute, and Senior Publicist at Film Society of Lincoln Center. As a journalist, he has been a contributor to Film Comment, Film Threat, Movie City News, Fangoria, Moving Pictures Magazine, and the Village Voice.
